Move to new OS Family

Sep 3, 2014 at 11:15 AM
I LOVE this services however my portal states the following:
This deployment is running on a retired Guest OS Family. We recommend that you upgrade the deployment to a supported Guest OS family to avoid any disruptions to your service.

Is there a plan to migrate this to Windows 2012?

MANY THANKS

I know this is old, but in cases anyone else looks at it you can manually change the files to use an updated OS family.

Modify the ServiceConfiguration.cscfg fil

Primary node should read
<ServiceConfiguration serviceName="FTP2Azure" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ServiceHosting/2008/10/ServiceConfiguration" schemaVersion="2012-05.1.7" osFamily="2" osVersion="*">
The one you download from codeplex is just missing the osFamily and osVersion parameters so Azure defaults the osFamily to 1 which is depricated.
